Sam Rayburn Reservoir
Giant Salvinia continues to expand in Sam Rayburn, and efforts to contain and destroy the plant have been successful. The Corps asks boaters to ensure they clean their boats, trailers, recreational and fishing equipment thoroughly as soon as they leave an infected area. Please do not transport Giant Salvinia to other areas. Substantial fines may be assessed to those transporting Giant Salvinia on boats, trailers, etc. Help eradicate this menace from our waters.
Due to low lake levels, some boat ramps are unusable and have been closed.
